The court is now ready for the intensifying game between Brose Baskets and Zalgiris Kaunas to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16.  As the game continues, the German champs will be welcoming the Lithuanian League on Thursday, December 15, 2011 20:00  at the Stechert Arena, which is formerly known  as Jako Arena, an indoor sporting arena located in Bamberg, Germany.

Brose Baskets (3-5), which is now in third place for the Group B, is looking forward to make it to the Top 16 if ever they will win, while the Zalgiris (2-6) which is in the fourth place together with the other team. They were on the verge of qualifying to the Top 16 last season, and they are close this year, too. They had huge wins this year in their gym and the way they won vs. Unicaja in the last game showed that they have reached a level where they can defeat anybody. They have a great rotation of combo-forwards in Predrag Suput, Anthony Tucker and Marcus Slaughter. Combined with their great shooters and the crowd behind them, we will have a big task to stop them in Bamberg. During the game, we need to have calm heads that function all the time. I agree that is do-or-die match, but it is the same for both teams. We have experienced players, who have played this kind of game and we believe that team effort will help us to achieve a positive result on Thursday." In the competition, Brose leads  in fewest turnovers, with the total of  83 in 8 games.For Zalgiris their rosters are  Mantas Kalnietis and Tomas Delninkaitis (Guards), Sonny Weems and Paulius Jankunas (Forwards)and  Robertas Javkotas ( Center). Interms of defensive rebounds Zalgiris is one of the leading teams with the record of 202 and 186 committed fouls.
